Re: hwinfo
Thank you, Cyber, but wouldn't that be avoiding the hard work that Is required to be a top-notch creator as yourself?

@ kevindahl
You are almost there...
Now you simply need to modify the values in the skin to match the sensor values returned by the Shared Memory Viewer for HWiNFO.
Every computer has unique hardware, so there will be different SENSOR 'IDs' and 'Instances' and ENTRY 'IDs', 'Type', and 'Values' that need to be manually setup in order for the skin to work. The default values in the skin will not match your hardware, that is why you see all zero's when the skin is first loaded.
Make sure HWiNFO is running and the sensors are returning information; right-click the HWiNFO notification icon, and click 'Sensors'. You should see a list of values for your PC. NOTE: DO NOT e'X'it the Sensor dialog window, this will CLOSE & QUIT HWiNFO! Always just MINIMIZE '_' the window.
I will use JSMeterVIII\HWiNFO skin to demonstrate the steps needed.
Right-click JSMeterVIII\HWiNFO skin and select 'HWiNFO Sensors' to open the Shared Memory Viewer. To access the skin settings, right-click that skin again and select 'Open @Includes folder'. Open 'HWinfo.inc' in your text editor. There are usually 7 details for EACH Sensor that need to be setup in the skin to enable monitoring; 2 from the SENSOR section: ID and Instance, and 5 from the ENTRY section: ID, Type, Current Value, Minimum Value, and Maximum Value. Select the Sensor from the top window of the Shared Memory Viewer. The bottom window will populate with the information about that sensor.
Copy the 7 values mentioned above, from the Shared Memory Viewer to the corresponding section for a sensor. If you do not have a sensor that matches what is initially in the skin, you can change the 'HWiNFODesc1' to any name you desire, and enter the 7 values for that described sensor.
Do this for each sensor you want to monitor. Save the file. And refresh the skin.
With HWiNFO running in the background, you will see the values in the skin. Hope this helps!

Not if you look at the post he made showing the error he gets and the fact it's not showing the CPU DTS sensor info when he opened the Shared Memory Viewer.eclectic-tech wrote:

Didn't see that...CyberTheWorm wrote:Not if you look at the post he made showing the error he gets and the fact it's not showing the CPU DTS sensor info when he opened the Shared Memory Viewer.
He said he made quite a few changes to his system, so I went with the thought he was making progress.
If not, then that is another issue completely... And is better addressed on the HWiNFO forums.
My intention was to give him an idea of what is needed in a Rainmeter skin after getting HWiNFO running.
At least he should have an idea of what to do when he reaches that point.
