Simplest skin for newbie!

I am now attempting to make rainmaker do one simple task, log the use of Bitdefender on cpu, mem, disk and outbound network traffic. The goal is to determine if it is slowing my system and by how much. IF not Bitdefender then another, so really I would like to see usage by all but that comes later. I have had the product only an hour and still trying to get through the getting started tutorial and the 101. I had hope for a simple skin that allowed you to select apps, thresholds and recording options, the rest I can learn as I go along. One impressive program, but certainly not a newbie or casual tool. I thank you for directing me to better sources for learning what I need since I cannot find it.
